Bull Shoals resident arrested on Felony Drug Charge

On 8/21/2012 Jaela Jackson, age 32, of Bull Shoals was arrested and charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Morphine, a Class D Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop conducted by Flippin Police Officers during the course of a criminal interdiction saturation operation. During these operations the Department increases the number of officers on the street for a set number of hours. These officers along with the K-9 unit use skills learned in training to identify vehicles and suspects involved in any type of criminal activity. Jackson was a passenger in a vehicle stopped during this operation. During the course of the traffic stop officers located an amount of Morphine on Jackson’s person. The street value of the Morphine was approximately $210.00. Officers also located a number of syringes on Jackson.

Jackson was arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Jail. Bond for Jackson was set at $20,000.00. Jackson remains incarcerated at the time of the press release.
