Bull Shoals resident arrested on multiple Felony Drug Charges

On 1/1/2012, Karl Wright, age 31, of Bull Shoals was arrested in Doniphan Missouri on an outstanding felony warrant from Marion County Arkansas for the offenses of Criminal Attempt to Manufacture Methamphetamine, a Class A Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia with Intent to Manufacture Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony, Manufacture of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, a Class C Felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor.

This warrant stems from July of 2011 when Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Flippin Police Department executed a search warrant at Wright’s residence. During the course of the search officers located items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and the manufacture of marijuana along with an amount of marijuana. Wright was not home when the search warrant was executed and fled the area when he learned of the search warrant being executed.

On 1/1/2011 law enforcement officials in Doniphan Missouri learned that a person matching Wright’s description was in the area attempting to sell a firearm. Missouri officials learned the firearm may have been stolen from Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Working together in a joint state investigation officers from Missouri, Bull Shoals, and Flippin determined the man was Karl Wright a wanted fugitive and that the firearms had been stolen from a residence in Bull Shoals the prior week. On 1/4/2011 Wright was extradited back to Marion County on the outstanding warrant. After officers from Bull Shoals and Flippin completed the joint investigation regarding the residential burglary Wright was additionally charged with Residential Burglary, a Class B Felony  and Theft of Property a Class B Felony. Bond for Wright on the additional charges was set at $10,000. Bond on the original warrant was $25,000.

Officers were able to recover approximately $3000,00 worth of stolen property.
