Flippin resident arrested for Felony Residential Burglary

      PRESS RELEASE

On 7/7/2012 Jeremy Price, age 27, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, a Class B Felony, along with the Misdemeanor offenses of Driving on Suspended Driver’s License, Fleeing, Criminal Trespass, and Resisting Arrest. Price also had an outstanding Misdemeanor warrant for Failure to Appear.

On 7/7/2012 a Flippin Patrol Officer observed Price operating a motor vehicle. That officer had knowledge and confirmed that Price’s driver’s license was suspended. The officer turned around attempting to conduct a traffic stop on Price. Price had turned into a local apartment complex. The officer located Price’s vehicle and observed Price entering   one of the apartments. The officer directed Price to stop but Price refused.  The officer attempted to make contact with Price inside that apartment but learned that Price had gone into the attic area of the apartment. The officer went into the attic and observed that Price had knocked the firewalls dividing the apartments in that building out. This made it possible for Price to gain entry into a number of additional apartments in the complex. Those apartments were evacuated for the safety of the public. The officer also learned that Price may have been carrying a knife. Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Bull Shoals Police Department, Arkansas State Parks as well as other Flippin officers arrived to assist.

Officers from each Department entered the attic area and located Price covering himself with insulation. Price was ordered to remove the insulation. Price told Officers they would have to shoot him and that he was not going back to prison. Price then stood up and lunged toward officers. Officers deployed a Taser and gained compliance from Price. Price was removed from the attic area and transported to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office without further incident.

Bond for Price was set at $15,000.00. Price was on active Parole supervision and Parole authorities placed a No Bond hold on Price. At the time of the release Price remains incarcerated at the Marion County Jail.
