Flippin Resident arrested on charges of Resdential Burglary, Terroristic Threatening, and Assault in the First Degree

PRESS RELEASE

On 4-5-13 Newton Wood, age 37, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, a Class B Felony, Terroristic Threatening, a Class D Felony, and Assault in the First Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.

At approximately midnight on 4-5-13 Flippin Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in Flippin for a man who had broke into an apartment and was choking and threatened to cause bodily harm to a female. When officers arrived the female had broken free from Wood and Wood was chasing the female through the parking lot of the apartment complex. Wood was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Bond for Wood has been set at $20,000.00. Wood is also currently on a no bond hold pending a mental health evaluation.
