Flippin traffic stops leads to three arrests

A Friday traffic stop in Flippin led to the arrest of two Gassville men and a Flippin woman, according to Dusty Smith, investigator with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

On Friday, the Flippin Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle containing Corey Weaver and Deric Holt, both of Gassville, and Ashley Taylor of Flippin, the press release states.

While searching the vehicle, officers located an amount of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $750, along with $800 in U.S. currency on Weaver’s person.

Weaver was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, a Class B felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D felony. He was also served with an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Baxter County.

Holt was charged with driving on a suspended license and lacking proof of insurance, Marion County jail logs indicate.
