Lakeview Resident arrested on Felony Drug Charges

On 5-1-2013 Luetta Benedict, age 24, of Lakeview was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance (Oxycodone), a Class D Felony, and Theft of Property, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop by Flippin Police Officers. During the course of the stop officers located an amount of methamphetamine and several methamphetamine related drug paraphernalia items along with the oxycodone pills. Some of these items were hidden in a child’s stuffed animal. The street value of the narcotics seized was approximately $250.00. During the course of the arrest officers noticed that Benedict was in possession of two credit cards that were in another party’s name. Officers made contact with the person the cards belonged to and learned that the person thought they had lost the cards.

Benedict was arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Jail. Bond for Benedict was set at $5,000.00.
