Lakeview resident arrested on Felony Drug Paraphernalia Charge

On 9-20-12 John Ferguson, age 34, of Lakeview was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony and Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor. Ferguson is also wanted for a felony parole violation warrant from the State of California.

The arrest comes after the Flippin Police Department received a tip that Ferguson was involved in suspicious activity at a business in Flippin. Officers conducted surveillance and located and identified Ferguson. Officers learned of the outstanding warrant and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Ferguson was traveling in. During the course of that the stop the Flippin Police Department K-9 was called to sniff the vehicle. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle indicating the presence of narcotics. During a search of the vehicle officers located methamphetamine related drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana.

Ferguson was arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Jail. Ferguson remains incarcerated awaiting extradition to California on the outstanding warrant.
