Lead Hill Resident arrested on Felony Drug Charges

On 1-22-15 Vanessa Chastain, age 42, of Lead Hill was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony and Criminal Trespass, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The arrest stems from a traffic stop by Flippin Police Officers. Officers received a tip of a vehicle description that may be involved with narcotics. Officers located the vehicle a short time later in Flippin. Officers made a traffic stop on the vehicle and gained consent to search the vehicle. During the course of the search Officers located syringes, a vile containing a white substance, and baggies with a white substance in Chastain’s purse. Chastain admitted that all of these items were used to contain or use methamphetamine. Officers learned during the course of the investigation that Chastain had been banned from a business in Flippin that officers observed her to be present at during the course of surveillance. Chastain was arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Judge Jason Duffy set bond for Chastain at $5,000.00. She remains incarcerated at the time of the press release.
