Mountain Home resident arrested for Internet Stalking of a Child

On 4-18-2012 James Galloway, age 24, of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with Internet Stalking of a Child, a Class A Felony and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class C Felony.

The arrest stems from a Cyber Crimes Investigation by the Flippin Police Department. During the course of the last week Galloway added who he thought was a 14 year female as a Facebook friend. The 14 year old female was an undercover Flippin Police Officer.  During the course of the investigation Galloway engaged in sexually explicit chats with the 14 year old female. On 4-18-12 Galloway made arrangements to meet with the female at a location in Flippin. Galloway was met by officers from the Flippin Police Department and arrested without incident.

Bond for Galloway was set at $25,000.00. At the time of the press release Galloway has  posted bond and is awaiting a Court date. Officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Bull Shoals Police Department assisted with the arrest. This arrest makes the fourth one in as many weeks since the Department launched the Cyber Crimes Investigations in March.
