Mountain Home resident arrested on Felony Drug Charges

On 6-15-12, Corey Saylor, age 25, of  Mountain Home was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt to Possess Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, a Class B Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, Morphine, a Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony, and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class C Felony.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and 14th Judicial Drug Task Force. A package that Saylor was expecting to be delivered to him by a local delivery service was intercepted by law enforcement. Officers learned that package contained an amount of methamphetamine with a street value near $14,000.00, along with an amount of US Currency. Undercover officers posing as a package deliverymen made contact with Saylor and made arrangements for him to meet to pick the package up. Saylor arrived and was taken into custody by officers without incident. During the course of the arrest officers located an amount of methamphetamine, morphine, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle Saylor was traveling in.

Bond for Saylor was set at $50,000.00. He remains incarcerated awaiting a court date in Marion County Circuit Court. Assisting with the investigation and arrest was officers from the Mountain Home Police Department, Bull Shoals Police Department, and Arkansas State Police.
