Mtn Home and Yellvile Residents arrested on seperate Felony Drug Charges

PRESS RELEASE

On 1-18-13 Michael Strange, age 22, of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Marijuana, a Class C Felony and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class C Felony. Strange also faces enhanced penalties as the deliveries occurred near a school, park, or church.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office. During the course of the investigation Strange sold an amount of marijuana to undercover officers with a street value of approximately $800.00. A warrant was issued for Strange and he was arrested on that outstanding warrant in Faulkner County Arkansas. Strange was extradited back to Marion County on 1-18-13 by Flippin Police Officers. He remains incarcerated at the time of the press release with bond set at $15,000.00.

On 1-19-13 Justin Kelley, age 22, of Yellville was arrested. Flippin Police Officers learned that Kelly had outstanding felony warrants for the offenses of Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Oxycontin and Failure to Comply with Terms and Conditions of Probation. These warrants also stemmed from a joint investigation by Flippin Police and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office after Kelley sold an amount of Oxycontin to undercover officers. Flippin Police learned that Kelly was at a residence in Flippin. Officers made contact with Kelly and he was arrested without incident. Kelly remains in the Marion County Jail with No Bond due to the Failure to Comply with Terms and Conditions of probation warrant.
