Mtn. Home Resident arrested on Felony Drug Charges

PRESS RELEASE

On 1-7-13 Joseph Cruz, age 31, of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with Conspiracy to Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class C Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, a Class A Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class B Felony, and Unlawful Use of Communication Device, a Class C Felony.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. Officers learned that Cruz was coming to a business in Flippin to sell an amount of methamphetamine. Officers began surveillance and observed Cruz arrive to make the transaction. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Cruz was traveling in and Cruz was arrested. During the course of that arrest officers located an amount of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $4,000.00.

Cruz remains incarcerated at the Marion County Jail awaiting a bond amount. Cruz is also on parole supervision and may face additional charges for violation of parole.
