Mtn. Home Resident arrested on Felony Shoplifting Charge

PRESS RELEASE

On 9-19-13 Zach Brown, age 20, of Mountain Home was arrested and charged with Theft of Property, a Class D Felony. In the same incident Justin Taylor, age 18, of Mountain Home was charged with Misdemeanor Shoplifting.

On 9-19-13 Flippin Police Officers were dispatched to Wal-Mart after asset protection employees had located shoplifters. Brown had already fled the scene with approximately $1,500.00 worth of merchandise, including 19 iphone cases and a radar detector. Taylor was still present and was charged with Misdemeanor shoplifting as he attempted to leave the store with a piece of car stereo equipment. A short time later officers made contact with Brown by phone and he returned to Flippin to turn himself in. When he returned he brought an amount of iphone cases that were stolen and the radar detector. Officers went to Brown’s residence and recovered an additional amount of iphone cases and a piece of car stereo equipment that was stolen from another Wal-Mart.

Brown’s bond was set at $2,500.00 and he remains incarcerated at the Marion County Jail. Taylor’s bond was set at $315.00.
