Press Release
On February 10th, 2019, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a concerned citizen requesting a welfare check at 1723 county road 3012, in the rural Pyatt area of Marion County. The check was in regards to the well-being of 64-year-old W/M Bobby Wayne Richardson. The caller stated they usually speak with Mr. Richardson a couple times a day, but had not heard from him since approximately 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 9th,  2019, adding that Richardson spends a lot of time on his property on his 4-wheeler or tractor.

Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office responded to Richardson’s residence but could not locate him there. Richardson’s vehicle was in the driveway but his tractor was gone. Deputies located Richardson’s dog at a gate to his property North of his residence and walked onto the property looking for him. Deputies located Richardson’s overturned tractor down an embankment approximately two hundred (200) yards from the county road, and then located the body of Richardson approximately twenty (20) feet away from the tractor. It appeared that Richardson’s tractor had overturned resulting in him being ejected from the vehicle where he sustained fatal injuries. The Marion County Coroner was requested at the scene and took possession of Richardson’s body, being assisted by Pyatt First Responders.
