Three arrested on Felony Drug Charges

PRESS RELEASE

On 3-30-14 Austin Tinsley, age 23, of Marshall and Mandy Watts, age 38, of Marshall were arrested. Both are charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony, Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, a Class A Misdemeanor, Shoplifting, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Removal of a Theft Detection Device, a Class A Misdemeanor. Tinsley also faces additional charges of Parking in a Handicap and Driving on a Suspended License.

The arrest comes after Flippin Police responded to a local business for a shoplifting compliant involving the two. Officers determined that the two had shoplifted approximately $100.00 worth of merchandise from the business. During the course of the interview and formal proceedings with the business Watts attempted to place a marijuana smoking device and a methamphetamine smoking device in the trash can which was later recovered by officers. Upon a search of the vehicle the two were traveling in, which was parked in a handicapped designated parking space at the business, officers located additional items related to the use of methamphetamine along with prescription pills that neither of the two possessed a valid prescription for. Both were arrested without further incident and transported to the Marion County Detention Facility.

Bond was set at $7,500.00 each. Both remain incarcerated at the time of the press release.
