Three Batesville, AR residents arrested on Felony Drug Charges

PRESS RELEASE

On 5-7-12 Christopher Carodine, age 28, Adrain Childress, age 30, of Batesville, and Megan Meisel, age 21, all from Batesville, Arkansas were arrested and charged with Delivery of a Counterfeit Substance represented to be methamphetamine, a Class C Felony, Delivery of a Counterfeit Substance represented to be Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class C Felony.

The arrest stems from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office. During the investigation an undercover officer made arrangements with Carodine to deliver methamphetamine and marijuana with a street value of approximately $1200.00 to the undercover officer in  Flippin.  Carodine along with Childress and Meisel made the trip from Batesville to Flippin to engage in the transaction. The transaction occurred and the undercover officer noticed that the suspects had sold substances that did not appear to be authentic methamphetamine or marijuana. Officers from each Department along with the officers from the Arkansas State Police located the suspects in their vehicle a short time later. During the course of the traffic stop the officers located money matching the serial numbers that the undercover officer used for the transaction. The three were arrested without incident and transported to the Marion County Jail.

Bond for Carodine was set at $25,000.00. Bond for Childress and Meisel was set at $15,000.00. All three remain incarcerated at the Marion County Jail at the time of the press release.
