Two Flippin Residents arrested on Felony Charges

On 9-26-14 April Lack, age 37, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Residential Burglary, a Class C Felony.

The arrest comes after a citizen of Flippin was checking on a neighbor’s property. When the citizen entered the house they noticed the bathroom light was on. The citizen then located Lack in the bathroom. The residence belongs to an elderly citizen of Flippin and Lack had stopped by earlier in the week asking to use the restroom. After an interview with Lack Flippin Police Officers learned that Lack was in the residence attempting to locate prescription narcotics.

Flippin Police urge residents to be very careful allowing unknown persons in their residence and pay special attention if they ask to use the restroom. It is common for those addicted to prescription narcotics to ask to use the restroom and steal prescription medication while in the restroom.

Lack left the scene and the citizen filed a report with Flippin Police on Friday, within an hour of the being notified of the incident Lack was located by Flippin Police at a residence in Flippin and arrested without incident. Bond for Lack was set at $25,000.00 and she remains incarcerated at the time of the press release.

In an unrelated incident, Travis Godat, age 20, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class C Felony and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Class D Felony on 9-29-14.

This arrests comes after a Flippin Police Officer observed Godat at a business in Flippin. The officer learned that Godat had outstanding misdemeanor warrants from both Marion and Baxter Counties.

The officer arrested Godat and while being processed at the jail officers and jail staff located a broken methamphetamine pipe and an amount of methamphetamine in Godat’s clothing.

Bond for Godat was set at $5,000.00. Godat remains incarcerated at the Marion County Jail and will be making a first appearance in Court today on the charges.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office assisted with both of the arrests and investigations.
