Two Flippin Residents arrested on Felony Drug Charges

On 2-13-15 Steven Stuebinger, age 23, of Flippin was arrested and charged with two counts of Delivery of Methamphetamine, two Class C Felonies, Unlawful Use of a Communication Device, a Class C Felony, Aggravated Assault, a Class D Felony, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, a Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for the Use of Methamphetamine, a Class D Felony, Delivery of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for Use of Marijuana, a Class a Misdemeanor, and Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Later in the day Steven Meyer, age 49, of Flippin was arrested and charged with Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms, a Class Y Felony, Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons, a Class B Felony, Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver, a Class B Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia used to Package and Process Methamphetamine, a Class B Felony, Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, Possession of Schedule Four Prescription Narcotics, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for Use of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor.

The arrests stem from a joint investigation by the Flippin Police Department and Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The agencies made controlled purchases of narcotics from Stuebinger over the past three months. On 2-12-15 the Flippin Police Department received a report that Stuebinger had discharged a firearm through the ceiling of his apartment that went through the floor of a residence above the apartment. While investigating this complaint officers received another complaint that Stuebinger had got into a verbal argument with the tenants of the upstairs residence where he shot the hole in the floor, and that he was in a verbal argument with a female at his apartment. Stuebinger left the scene prior to officers arriving. Officers located Stuebinger at a residence approximately a block away ten minutes later in Flippin and took him into custody for an investigative hold regarding the narcotics and firearms investigations. During the course of investigating the case officers applied for and were granted a search warrant to Stuebinger’s apartment. The apartment was secured by Flippin Police during the night of 2-12-15. On 2-13-15, during the course of execution of the search warrant, officers from the Flippin Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Special Agents from the Arkansas State Police located an amount of marijuana, methamphetamine related drug paraphernalia, marijuana related drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. During the course of the investigation officers learned that Stuebinger had taken the firearm he discharged to the Steve Meyers residence. Officers applied for an were granted a search warrant to the Steve Meyers residence.

In the afternoon of 2-13-15 officers from the Flippin Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and Special Agents from the Arkansas State Police executed a search warrant to the Steve Meyer residence. During the course of the execution of this search warrant officers located the firearm that Stuebinger discharged, an amount of methamphetamine with a street value of approximately $1000.00, items used in the sale of narcotics, an amount of marijuana, prescription pills, and drug paraphernalia for the use of methamphetamine and marijuana. Officers also seized just over $1000.00 in U.S. Currency. Meyers was located at the residence and taken into custody without incident.

During the course of the Meyer search warrant officers obtained information and applied for a third search warrant to a residence in Marion County related to the investigation. Officers from the three Departments executed that search warrant later on 2-13-15. During the course of the execution of that search warrant officers located an amount of methamphetamine, an amount of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia for the use of methamphetamine and marijuana. The owner of that residence and suspect in the case was not home during the service of the search warrant. Officers have applied for an arrest warrant for this subject. When the suspect is in custody an additional release will be submitted with the suspects identity and specific charges.

Bond for Stuebinger was set at $50,000.00. He remains incarcerated at the time of the press release. Bond for Meyer was set at $50,0000.00 and he remains incarcerated at the time of the press release. Officers received a multitude of information regarding thefts, narcotics activity, and information regarding firearms during the course of this investigation. More arrests and search warrants are anticipated in connection with this investigation.
